Details

The project aims to develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for the "Omni Scan Bar," a mobile-based feature designed to revolutionize inventory data input for CyberStockroom. The current challenge in inventory management is the time-consuming and error-prone process of manual data entry. By integrating multiple input channels such as barcode scanning, image recognition via OpenAI's API, and document parsing, the Omni Scan Bar will streamline this process. The goal is to create an operator-focused tool that enhances speed, accuracy, and usability, ultimately improving inventory management efficiency. This project will allow learners to apply their knowledge of mobile app development, API integration, and user interface design to create a functional MVP that addresses real-world challenges in inventory management. Students should be familiar with mobile development (especially React Native).

Deliverables

The MVP will consist of React Native mobile app demonstrating the Omni Scan Bar feature, which integrates barcode scanning, image recognition, and document parsing capabilities. The team will provide a user-friendly mobile interface and documentation detailing the integration process and functionality. Additionally, a demonstration video showcasing the MVP's features and usability will be delivered. These deliverables will collectively demonstrate the feasibility and potential impact of the Omni Scan Bar in enhancing inventory management processes.
