This experience is designed for learners enrolled in the Advanced Accounting Course for Spring 2025. Participants have a solid foundation in accounting principles and are eager to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios. The course emphasizes analytical skills, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making. Learners are prepared to tackle projects that require advanced accounting techniques, such as financial analysis, budgeting, and auditing, providing valuable insights and solutions for industry professionals.

Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience will focus on integrating their liberal arts education and learning transferable skills through real-world problem solving by engaging with a local community organization to research a problem and propose a solution both with and for the organization.

The remaining 8 weeks covers a variety of topics including international accounting, partnerships, state and local governments, and nonprofit entities. Learners will focus on non-profit organizations for this specific project.
